Player Insight: Tess Howard on the AC1000 Dynabow-S

"The first time I ever used this stick was against Scotland. Literally second minute of the game, pick the ball in the D, hit it without even thinking, and it went bottom corner. And I thought, ‘this stick has potential’. There's something about the less you try, the harder it hits. I've played with it for a few months now, and I'm starting to feel like it's second nature. I feel especially with the hitting and the amount of power you can get through the head, that this has been designed really for performance and to help you get the best out of your hitting ability.”

2. Try Our Market-Changing Alternatives: The AeroCore Range

With innovation at the heart of our forward-thinking approach, we introduced the AeroCore Collection. Here’s a brief overview of why these sticks are worth taking note of:

Shape & Technology
Our AC sticks are derived from the classic bows we have to offer. The iconic staples that are the Jumbow, Probow and Dynabow have all undergone intricate, yet serious performance-enhancing changes, forming three unique bows specifically set out to redefine the game.

Dynabow-S
Optimised for control, this bow sees a strategic change to the popular Dynabow whilst continuing its emphasis on enhanced control and feel. Combine these attributes with an unmatched level of power across a range of hitting and passing movements, the Dynabow-S is the dream stick for any player looking to dominate and control the game.

3. Choose Your Composition

The composition of each stick massively affects its stiffness, responsiveness and essentially, power. To make understanding this easier, we’ve produced a relatively simplified table to support your choice based on your level and style of play.

As a general rule of thumb, our lower carbon sticks provide a softer touch and are much more forgiving, while the higher carbon sticks are stiffer, resulting in more power being transferred into your shots and passes.

The Choice Is Yours

We’ve shown you the range – now the power is in your hands to choose the stick to take your game to the next level. Remember, it’s about matching your game to the stick shape. Feel free to reach out to the Grays Hockey team on social media or via email and we’ll support you in making the best decision for you.
